Joshua Leonard (born June 17, 1975 in Houston , Texas ) is an American actor and director.
life and career
He became known in 1999 for the hit film Blair Witch Project . For this role he was nominated for the Blockbuster Entertainment Award in 2000. In 2000 he starred in Men of Honor alongside Robert De Niro and Charlize Theron, and in Sacrifice alongside Michael Madsen . In 2003 he starred alongside Alicia Silverstone , Rachael Leigh Cook , Woody Harrelson and John Cleese in the comedy Abgezockt! , In 2004 he played the lead role in the horror film Madhouse . Two years later he took on a role in the horror film Hatchet , in 2008 he starred in Prom Night and the end-time thriller 20 Years After .
Leonard is also active as a director. In 2011 he made his first feature film, The Lie . Behold My Heart followed in 2018 , and Fully Realized Humans was released in 2020 . He was also involved as a screenwriter on the three films.
In January 2015 he got engaged to actress Alison Pill , and at the end of May 2015 they married.
