Josie Rebecca Davis (born January 16, 1973 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American actress , film producer and screenwriter .

life and career

Josie Davis appeared in commercials as a child . From 1987 to 1990 she starred in the television series Charles in Charge . For this role she won the Young Artist Award in 1989 and was nominated for the same award in 1990 and 1991. In the years that followed, guest appearances in television series and small supporting roles followed; from 1996 to 1997 she played in the US series Shadow of Passion .

In the thriller Badge of Fear (1997), Davis played the lead role of a policewoman who falls in love with an actor to be protected from a stalker and subjects him to stalking . In the comedy Kalamazoo? (2006) she played one of the three main roles of the school friends who were separated for a long time. In the television film Nora Roberts - Lilien im Sommerwind (2007) she played the role of a woman who overcomes her original hostility towards the friend of her murdered sister played by Claire Forlani .

Davis founded the production company 3 Sketch Films . This company produced, among other things, the short film Lotto (2003), in which she starred herself and which won an award at the Hollywood MiniDV Festival in 2003.
