Joyful Drake (born September 24, 1976 in Milwaukee , Wisconsin ) is an American actress .

Career

Joyful Drake made her acting debut in the television series Soul Food , in which she played Tamara in two episodes . She then starred in comedies such as The Look from 2003 and Hair Show from 2004 with Mo'Nique in the lead role. In the comedy film Beauty Shop , she played the role of Mercedes , in which Queen Latifah was given the lead role. In the same year she acted in the television series Cuts in three episodes as Lani . In addition to Mo'Nique, she played again in Phat Girlz , in which she played the supporting role Mia . Drake played the mother of Sergio child (represented by Sean Combs ) in Get Him from the year 2010 with Russell Brand and Jonah Hill in the lead roles. For the television film Glass Heels , in which she played the lead role, Joyful Drake wrote the script and worked as a producer . Since 2011 Drake has played one of the four leading roles in the US television series Let's Stay Together . In it, she played the role of Tasha Woodson . In the 2012 action film Bad Ass by Craig Moss , she got the role of Amber Lamps and stood in front of the camera alongside Danny Trejo , Charles S. Dutton and Ron Perlman .
