Juan Bautista Gavilán Velásquez (born June 24, 1951 in Eusebio Ayala , Paraguay ) is Bishop of Coronel Oviedo .
Life
Juan Bautista Gavilán Velásquez received on 18 December 1977, the sacrament of holy orders and was in the clergy of the Diocese of Caacupé incardinated .
On March 5, 1994, Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Concepción . The Apostolic Nuncio in Paraguay, Archbishop José Sebastián Laboa Gallego , donated him episcopal ordination on May 8 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the bishop emeritus of Concepción en Paraguay, Aníbal Maricevich Fleitas , and the bishop of Caacupé, Demetrio Ignacio Aquino Aquino . John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Coronel Oviedo on December 18, 2001.
