Ricardo Jorge Valenzuela Ríos (born December 13, 1954 in Asunción , Paraguay ) is a Paraguayan clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Caacupé .

Life

Ricardo Jorge Valenzuela Ríos received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Asunción on December 12, 1982 .

On November 27, 1993 Pope John Paul II named him titular bishop of Casae Calanae and appointed him auxiliary bishop in Asunción. John Paul II donated him episcopal ordination on January 6, 1994 ; Co-consecrators were the Archbishops of the Curia Giovanni Battista Re , Official in the Vatican State Secretariat , and Josip Uhač , Secretary of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples . On May 24, 2003, John Paul II appointed him military bishop of Paraguay . Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on June 25, 2010 Bishop of Villarrica del Espíritu Santo . The inauguration took place on August 22 of the same year. On September 25, 2014, Pope Francis also appointed him Apostolic Administrator of Ciudad del Este .

On June 29, 2017, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Caacupé.
