Juan José Pineda Fasquelle

Juan José Pineda Fasquelle CMF (born December 19, 1960 in Tegucigalpa , Honduras ) is a Honduran religious and emeritus Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in Tegucigalpa .

Life

Juan José Pineda Fasquelle joined the Order of the Claretians and made profession on April 25, 1987. The secretary of the Apostolic Signature , Zenon Grocholewski , ordained him a deacon on December 19, 1987, and the auxiliary bishop in Tegucigalpa, Óscar Rodríguez Maradiaga SDB , ordained him a priest on July 16, 1988 .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on May 21, 2005 auxiliary bishop in Tegucigalpa and titular bishop of Obori . The archbishop of Tegucigalpa, Oscar Andrés Cardinal Rodríguez Maradiaga SDB, dedicated it on July 16 of the same year Bishop ; Co- consecrators were Angel Garachana Pérez CMF, Bishop of San Pedro Sula , and Antonio Arcari , Apostolic Nuncio in Honduras.

On July 20, 2018, Pope Francis accepted the resignation put forward by Juan José Pineda Fasquelle. Pineda had previously been accused of “sexual misconduct” with seminary students , sexual abuse and corruption .
