Juan Piris Frígola (born October 12, 1939 in Cullera , Spain ) is a Roman Catholic clergyman and emeritus bishop of Lleida .
Life
Juan Piris Frígola was ordained a priest on September 21, 1963 .
Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Menorca on March 1, 2001 . He was ordained episcopal on April 28th of the same year by the Archbishop of Barcelona , Ricardo María Cardinal Carles Gordó ; Co - consecrators were Agustín García-Gasco y Vicente , Archbishop of Valencia , and Jesús Murgui Soriano , Auxiliary Bishop of Valencia.
Pope Benedict XVI appointed him Bishop of Lleida on July 16, 2008 .
On July 28, 2015, Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation.
