Jesús Murgui Soriano (born April 17, 1946 in Valencia , Spain ) is a Spanish clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Orihuela-Alicante .

Life

Jesús Murgui Soriano received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Valencia on September 21, 1969 .

On 25 March 1996 appointed him Pope John Paul II. To the titular of Lete and ordered him to auxiliary bishop in Valencia. The Archbishop of Valencia, Agustín García-Gasco Vicente , gave him episcopal ordination on May 11th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Barcelona , Cardinal Ricardo María Carles Gordó , and the Apostolic Nuncio in Spain, Archbishop Lajos Kada .

On December 27, 2003, John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Mallorca . The inauguration took place on February 21, 2004. Pope Benedict XVI. appointed him Bishop of Orihuela-Alicante on July 27, 2012.
