Richard Jude Ciccolella (born November 30, 1947 in Burlington , Vermont ) is an American actor .

life and career

Ciccolella was born in Vermont but grew up in Albany, New York. His father was Dick Ciccolella, a local athlete who wanted his son to be an athlete as well. Jude Ciccolella, however, studied theater studies at Temple University and graduated with a Master of Fine Arts . In his career he appeared in various roles, so he played as Mert in the film The Condemned with and in Star Trek: Nemesis as Commander Suran . He also had supporting roles in the films Daredevil , Night Over Manhattan , Sin City and Coffee, Milk and Sugar .

After appearing in supporting roles in television series such as Law & Order , New York Cops - NYPD Blue , CSI: NY and Emergency Room - The Emergency Room , he got the role of Mike Novick, the White House Chief of Staff, on series 24 . He appeared in the first two seasons (2001-2003), then he played in All hate Chris with, but was replaced there in order to be able to act again in the fourth and fifth season 24. He also sings and plays guitar in his The Jude Ciccolella Band .
