Judith Hesse (* 3. September 1982 in Erfurt as Judith Hesse ) is a German specialized in short-range speed skater .

Judith Dannhauer starts for the ice sports club Erfurt . She was trained by Peter Wild until 2002, since then by Stephan Gneupel , Gianni Romme and since 2014 by Gunda Niemann-Stirnemann . In 2002 she was third both in the all-around and in the team at the Junior World Championships in Klobenstein . She made her World Cup debut in Inzell in 2003 .

Her best placings were a fifth and a seventh place over the 100 meter course, in the 2003/04 season she was also fifth here in the overall World Cup. She was once German champion (2006 in the sprint all-around), twice runner-up and six times third. Most of the time she has been overshadowed by her competitors Sabine Völker , Jenny Wolf , Monique Garbrecht-Enfeldt and Anni Friesinger . At the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin , she competed over the two short distances, but could not achieve a significant placement.

Your parade route is the non-Olympic 100 meters. Here she achieved her first World Cup victory in December 2006 in Nagano . But she also performs well on the 500 meters. She also runs the 1000 meters, which are actually too long for her and on which she often has problems due to a lack of cornering technique. Nevertheless, she achieved her best placement over the 1000 meters when she finished 11th at the World Cup in Harbin in early December 2006.
