Jukebox the Ghost is an American rock band . It consists of Ben Thornewill (vocals, piano), Tommy Siegel (vocals, guitar) and Jessie Willen (drums).
history
In 2003 they met the three musicians at George Washington University and founded the band "The Sunday Mail". In 2005 they decided to take some time off. During this time, many new songs were created that no longer fit the band image so well, whereupon they decided to rename themselves "Jukebox the Ghost". The name is a combination of a line of text from Captain Beefheart and a line from the book "Pnin" by Vladimir Nabokov .
In 2008 their first album Let Live & Let Ghosts was released , and in the same year a sampler with a cover version of Beautiful Life by the band Ace of Base was released . Several concert tours followed as a support act , including on Adam Green's European tour in February 2010 or James Blunt's Germany tour in October 2011 with a tour finale in Düsseldorf . On September 1, 2010, the band was a guest on the Late Show with David Letterman , where they played the single Schizophrenia . On September 7, 2010, the associated album Everything Under the Sun was released . October 2011 her latest album was released in New York .
