Julian Perretta (born January 13, 1989 in London ) is a British musician who is best known for his debut single Wonder Why and his collaboration with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and Moguai Body Talk (Mammoth) .

biography

In his youth he first learned to play the guitar and then the piano. At the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art he took classical acting lessons ( Shakespeare ).

His music career began with Mark Ronson on a European tour. He then also appeared as the opening act for Beyoncé and Girls Aloud and made a name for himself in the music scene. Eventually Universal Music signed him.

In 2010 he recorded his debut album Stitch Me Up . In France, where Perretta lives, he had a top ten hit with his debut single Wonder Why , and the album was also successful in the French charts. The other single releases were also able to achieve a placement in the French single charts.

At the beginning of 2011 he was in the opening act for James Blunt's European tour .

In the summer of 2014, a vocal version of their instrumental piece Mammoth was released in collaboration with the DJ duo Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike , which became a club hit in the summer of 2013 and was in the charts in Germany, among other places. The vocal version, entitled Body Talk , was also a success and reached number 2 in the Belgian singles charts. Furthermore, the song brought the instrumental version back into the French charts. Perretta was involved in the official music video, which was viewed several million times after just a few days.
