Julian Schiffleitner (born December 27, 1994 in Vienna ) is an Austrian handball player .

Career

Born in Vienna , he ran for the sports high school in Perchtoldsdorf in his youth and took part in various youth competitions for it. During this time he played with Tobias Wagner , whom he met again in the youth national team 94. He began his active professional career in 2012 when he played for WAT Fünfhaus in the Handball Bundesliga Austria for the first time . Since 2014, the left-hander has also been playing for the HLA club SG Handball West Vienna with a double play authorization .

The 1.92 meter tall back player also played in the junior national team born in 1994 and younger, with whom he took part twice in a European youth championship. 6th place could be achieved there. In preparation for the 2014 home youth championship, Team 94, as it was called in Austria, took part in HLA matches.
