Career

Viggó Kristjánsson, born in Reykjavík, started to play handball at Handknattleiksdeild Gróttu . He played for the Icelanders until the 2015/16 season before the backcourt player moved to the Danish Håndboldligaen for Randers HH . Just one year later, the left-hander moved to SG Handball West Vienna in the Spusu League . From summer 2019 he was under contract with the German Bundesliga club SC DHfK Leipzig . In November 2019 he joined league competitor HSG Wetzlar . After the 2019/20 season, he switched to league competitor TVB 1898 Stuttgart .
