Julio Hernando García Peláez

Julio Hernando García Peláez (born July 26, 1958 in Anserma ) is a Colombian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Garagoa .

Life

Pope John Paul II ordained him a priest on June 2, 1985 .

On February 11, 2005, the Pope appointed him titular bishop of Bida and auxiliary bishop in Cali . He received his episcopal ordination on April 2nd of the same year by the Cardinal Prefect of the Congregation for the Clergy , Darío Castrillón Hoyos ; Co- consecrators were Tulio Duque Gutiérrez SDS , Bishop of Pereira , and Juan Francisco Sarasti Jaramillo CIM , Archbishop of Cali.

On June 5, 2010 he was received by Pope Benedict XVI. appointed Bishop of Istmina-Tadó and appointed to office on July 24th of the same year.

Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Garagoa on June 15, 2017. The inauguration took place on July 8th of the same year.
