Mario de Jesús Álvarez Gómez
Mario de Jesús Álvarez Gómez (born October 19, 1959 in Palmitas , Departamento de Antioquia , Colombia ) is a Colombian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Istmina-Tadó .
Life
Mario de Jesús Álvarez Gómez received November 19, 1985 by the Bishop of Santa Rosa de Osos , Joaquín García Ordóñez , the sacrament of Holy Orders .
On February 3, 2018, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Istmina-Tadó. The Apostolic Nuncio in Colombia, Archbishop Ettore Balestrero , donated him episcopal ordination on March 3 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Santa Fe de Antioquia , Orlando Antonio Corrales García , and the Bishop of Santa Rosa de Osos, Jorge Alberto Ossa Soto .
