The Roman Catholic Diocese of Istmina-Tadó ( lat. : Dioecesis Istminana-Taduana , span. : Diócesis de Istmina-Tado ) is an in Colombia situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Istmina .

history

The diocese Istmina-Tadó was on November 14, 1952 by Pope Pius XII. established with the Papal Bull Cum Usu Quotidiano from cession of territory of the Apostolic Prefecture Chocó as Apostolic Vicariate Istmina . On April 30, 1990, the Apostolic Vicariate Istmina was raised to a diocese by Pope John Paul II and renamed the Diocese of Istmina-Tadó . It is subordinate to the Archdiocese of Santa Fe de Antioquia as a suffragan .
