Juan Francisco Sarasti Jaramillo CIM (born July 30, 1938 in Cali ) is Old Archbishop of Cali .

Life

Juan Francisco Sarasti Jaramillo joined the religious order of the Congregation of Jesus and Mary and was ordained a priest on March 30, 1963 . Pope Paul VI appointed him on March 8, 1978 auxiliary bishop in Cali and titular bishop of Egara .

The Archbishop of Cali, Alberto Uribe Urdaneta , donated him episcopal ordination on May 6 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were José de Jesús Pimiento Rodriguez , Archbishop of Manizales , and Eladio Acosta Arteaga CIM, Bishop of Antioquia .

On December 23, 1983, he was appointed Bishop of Barrancabermeja . John Paul II appointed him Archbishop of Ibagué on March 25, 1993 . On August 17, 2002, he was appointed Archbishop of Cali. He resigned from his office on May 18, 2011.
