Tulio Duque Gutiérrez SDS (born January 31, 1935 in Pácora ) is former bishop of Pereira .

Life

Tulio Duque Gutiérrez joined the order of the Salvatorians and was ordained a priest on March 26, 1966 . John Paul II appointed him on October 7, 1993 auxiliary bishop in Medellín and titular bishop of Sitipa .

The apostolic nuncio in Colombia , Paolo Romeo , consecrated him bishop on November 13 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Héctor Rueda Hernández , Archbishop of Medellín , and José de Jesús Pimiento Rodriguez , Archbishop of Manizales .

On March 18, 1997, he was appointed Bishop of Apartadó . On July 25, 2001, he was appointed Bishop of Pereira . On July 15, 2011, Pope Benedict XVI. his age-related resignation.
