Julius Mosengeil

Julius Mosengeil , von Mosengeil since 1862 , (born November 15, 1800 in Frauenbreitungen near Meiningen , † May 14, 1883 in Meiningen) was the ducal Saxon-Meiningen secret cabinet advisor and officer .

Life

Julius Mosengeil was the son of Friedrich Mosengeil and studied in Jena and Heidelberg Jura .

From around 1824 he belonged to the court of the Duke of Saxe-Coburg-Meiningen , was his cabinet secretary and headed the ducal reference library .

In 1837 he was already a captain , commander of the Meininger Feldjägercorps (3 brigades of 40 men in total) and cabinet councilor .

On October 15, 1862, he was raised to the nobility for his services .

Around 1867 he was a secret cabinet councilor and major a. D. joined the Duke's cabinet and in 1874 he became a court servant. D.

Julius Mosengeil was married twice. First marriage to Marie von Charpentier (1811–1840) and was the father of the medical advisor Karl von Mosengeil . In his second marriage he was married to Anna Treusch von Buttlar-Brandenfels (1823-1869) from 1845 . His daughter Marie von Mosengeil (1852-1924) married the Prussian major and district officer Maximilian August von Blumröder (1849-1907), who was a son of Adolf von Blumröder .

The family coat of arms shows a shield, divided five times in blue and silver, on the center of which sits a gold-decorated, silver spangenhelm . This uncrowned helmet with blue and silver covers is set with five blue and silver ostrich feathers .
