Junior Jovais Galette (born March 27, 1988 in Port-au-Prince , Haiti ) is a former Haitian American football player in the National Football League (NFL). He played five years for the New Orleans Saints as an outside linebacker and most recently for the Washington Redskins .

Youth, high school and college

Galette's parents emigrated to the United States . When he was 10 years old, they could afford to have him and his two older brothers come to New York. He attended Saint Joseph Regional High School in Montvale , New Jersey , where he was already on the football team. He played college football for three years for the Owls, the team from Temple University in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania , as both linebacker and defensive end . After he was suspended there for disciplinary reasons, he was able to complete his fourth and final season for the Tigers of Stillman College in Tuscaloosa , Alabama , a team of the NCAA Division II.

NFL

New Orleans Saints

In the 2010 NFL Draft , he was initially ignored, but was then signed by the Saints as a free agent . He has been with his Team Starter since 2013, and in 2014 he was elected one of the Team Captains by his colleagues.

In January 2015, Galette was accused of bodily harm by a young woman, but the prosecution dismissed the charge shortly afterwards.

Washington Redskins

On July 31, 2015, Junior Galette signed a one-year contract with the Washington Redskins. After being sidelined for two complete seasons due to injury, he played all games for the Redskins in 2017, with 20 tackles and 3.0 sacks, but his contract was not extended after the end of the season.
