Jurij Krymarenko ( Ukrainian Юрій Кримаренко ; English transcription Yuriy Krymarenko ; born August 11, 1983 in Berdychiv , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Ukrainian high jumper who became world champion at the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki in 2005 .

He was the only one to jump 2.32 m. The favorite Stefan Holm (winner of the Olympic Games 2004 ) failed as did the Canadian Mark Boswell at this height and remained without a medal. Krymarenko had already started at the U23 European Championships in Erfurt in 2005 and was defeated by the Czech Jaroslav Bába , who jumped only 2.29 m at the World Championships. Krymarenko's personal best is 2.33 m. At the 2007 World Championships in Osaka, he failed in qualifying at the height of 2.29 m.

Jurij Krymarenko is 1.85 m tall and has a competition weight of 62 kg.
