Jurij Ihorowytsch Petranhowskyj ( Ukrainian Юрій Ігорович Петранговский ; Russian Юрий Игоревич Петранговский Yuri Igorevich Petrangowski ; English transcription Yuri Petrangovsky * 9. December 1994 in Kiev , Ukraine ) is a Ukrainian hockey player , who has been in 2015 when HK Kremenchuk in the Ukrainian Hockey League is under contract .

Career

Jurij Petranhowskyj began his career as a hockey player in the second team of HK Shakhtsor Salihorsk , for which he played in the Vysschaya League , the second division of Belarus. In 2012 he moved to HK Sokil Kiev in his hometown in the professional hockey league . In the Ukrainian capital, however, it only lasted a year and he was drawn to the eastern Ukrainian coal capital Donetsk , where he was on the ice at Molodaja Gwardija, the youth project of HK Donbass Donetsk , in the Molodjoschnaja Chokkeinaja Liga (MHL), a multinational youth league was standing. In 2014 he moved to the Belarusian HK Junost Minsk , for whose junior team he also played in the MHL. Since 2015 he has been playing for HK Kremenchuk in the Ukrainian ice hockey league .

International

In the junior division, Petranhowskyj was initially on the ice for his home country at the U18 World Cup in 2012 in Division I. With five goals he was the most successful goalscorer of the tournament there. In the same year, at the age of 17, he played at the U20 World Junior Championship in Division II and, thanks to the success at the home tournament in Donetsk , rose with his team to Division I. There he succeeded in relegation with the Ukrainian team in both 2013 and 2014 .

For the Ukrainian national ice hockey team, Petranhowskyj was nominated for the first time for the Division I World Cup 2013 . His team won the Group B tournament in Donetsk and thus rose to Group A, from which the Ukrainians were only relegated last year. Also in 2015 , 2016 and 2017 he played in Division I. He also represented his colors in the Olympic qualification for the Winter Games in Pyeongchang 2018 .
