Justí Guitart i Vilardebò
Justí Guitart i Vilardebò (born December 16, 1875 in Barcelona , † January 31, 1940 ibid) was Bishop of Urgell and thus at the same time co- prince of Andorra .
Life
Guitart studied at the seminary in Barcelona and Tarragona and received a licentiate in secular and canon law in 1899 . He received his doctorate in theology in 1901 and was ordained a priest. From 1902 he taught at the seminary in Barcelona. He was a canon at the Barcelona Cathedral and from 1915 to 1920 Vicar General of the Diocese of Barcelona .
He was ordained Bishop of Urgell on May 23, 1920 and sworn in as Co-Prince of Andorra on July 27. He fled to Rome during the Spanish Civil War .
