Justin Jitae Chon (born May 29, 1981 in Garden Grove ) is an American actor.

Life

Chon was born in 1981 to South Korean immigrants, his father was a television actor . He grew up in Irvine and attended high school there . While still at school he learned various instruments such as guitar , piano , violin and saxophone . After graduating from school, he began to study economics in order to later work as a financial advisor or investment banker. At the same time he first studied Japanese , later switched to Korean . He completed his first year of study at Yonsei University in Seoul , and during the second semester he lived with his grandmother. Back in California , he enrolled in an acting class. The positive reactions he received from his teacher led him to turn to acting after graduating.

Acting career

After completing his studies, Chon played a few months without pay in student films and in theaters and earned his living as an employee in his father's shop in Anaheim . His first paid engagement was for a commercial for T-Mobile , followed by a small supporting role on the TV series Jack & Bobby . On the set of the horror film Hack! he met the manager Kim Matuka, who introduced him to his future agent. From 2005 he played regularly minor roles in the Disney Channel and received his first leading role in the station's own production Wendy Wu - The High School Warrior . From June 2006 to 2008 he was part of the Just Jordan cast . In the films Twilight - Until (s) to dawn , New Moon - Until (s) until noon , Eclipse - Until (s) until afterglow and Breaking Dawn - Until (s) until the end of the night - Part 1 , Chon presented the figure of Eric Yorkie.
