Justus Fritzsche (actor)
Justus Fritzsche (born January 1, 1941 in Berlin ; † July 26, 2003 in Frankfurt am Main ) was a German film, television and theater actor.
life and work
Fritzsche received his training at the Dresden Theater Academy. After graduating, he first played in Eisleben and Weimar theaters. In 1962 he made his debut at DEFA as an intellectual high school student Reinhard Eschbach in the film Die aus der 12b . From 1967 he belonged to the ensemble of the Dresden State Theater, which in 1983 became the independent Dresden State Theater . He found recognition in 1975 for his portrayal of Paul Satie in A Pyramid for Me by Ralf Kirsten , in which he depicts the development of the main hero Paul Satie over 20 years.
Fritzsche became known to a wide audience in the 1970s through his roles on television. Among other things, he played in numerous episodes of the crime film series Polizeiruf 110 . For example, in the episode A Great Talent he embodied the unsuccessful actor Jens Briener, who does not develop his "great talent" on stage or in front of the camera, but commits crimes as a con artist. In addition, he worked as a speaker in radio and dubbing.
After the reunification of the GDR in 1989/90 he also accepted offers from various West German theaters. He played in Frankfurt am Main and Bonn, for example in the 1998/99 season as Willy Loman in Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman at the Bad Godesberg Kammerspiele.
