Jutta Kollesch

Jutta Kollesch , also Jutta Harig-Kollesch (born November 7, 1933 ) is a German classical philologist and medical historian .

Kollesch received his doctorate in 1961 at the University of Halle , habilitated at the Humboldt University in Berlin in 1970 and worked with Diethard Nickel and Gotthard Strohmaier at the Corpus Medicorum Graecorum / Latinorum department of the Academy of Sciences of the GDR , which since 1992 has been part of the newly founded Berlin-Brandenburgische Academy of Sciences is assigned. When Konrad Schubring , the head of the workplace at the time, resigned in August 1961 due to the construction of the wall, Kollesch was de facto entrusted with the management of the workplace. Their field of work is derived from the program of the Corpus Medicorum Graecorum / Latinorum , the text-critical edition of the ancient Greek and Roman doctors and the ancient history of medicine. In addition to overseeing the edition projects and other research tasks of the Corpus Medicorum Graecorum / Latinorum , Kollesch turned her personal work to the writings of Galen . From her area of ​​expertise, she has made numerous contributions to the Realencyclopedia of Classical Classical Studies (RE) and to Little Pauly .

She was married to the medical historian Georg Harig , who died in 1989 .
