Kōki Sugimori ( Japanese 杉 森 考 起 , Sugimori Kōki ; born April 5, 1997 in Kasugai , Aichi Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player .

Career

Kōki Sugimori learned to play football in the youth team of Nagoya Grampus . Here he signed his first professional contract in 2014. The club from Nagoya , a city in the Japanese prefecture of Aichi on Honshū , played in the country's highest league, the J1 League . From 2014 to 2015 he played 14 times in the J.League U-22 Selection . This team, which played in the third division, the J3 League , was made up of the best young players from the higher-class clubs. The team was founded with a view to the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro . The players were selected on a weekly basis from a pool for which each club was able to name talented individuals worth promoting; the composition of the team therefore varied greatly from game to game. At the end of 2016 he was relegated to the second division with Nagoya . A year later it was immediately promoted again. In 2018 he was loaned to FC Machida Zelvia . With the club from Machida he played in the second division. For Machida, he completed 29 second division games. At the beginning of 2020 he also moved on loan to the second division side Tokushima Vortis in Tokushima .

National team

Kōki Sugimori played twice for the U17 national team in 2013 |. He played nine times for the U18 from 2013 to 2015.
