The steam locomotives "VULCAN II" to "GLAUCOS I" were freight locomotives of the KFNB . They were 1852 / 1853 by the locomotive factory Maffei in Munich to the KFNB with the axle formula delivered 1B. They came from the first attempt by John Haswell , the head of the factory of the Vienna-Gloggnitz Railway Company , to develop a standard type, and were similar to the locomotives described under "AUSTRIA II" to "SALAMANDER" .

The machines were rebuilt several times.

The "GLAUCOS I" exploded on May 23, 1871 in Oderberg . The "AEAKUS" was taken out of service in 1880, the other machines of this type as early as 1869 to 1871. The "VULCAN II" and the "APIS I" were sold to the construction company Gebrüder Klein .
