Last year's winner was Omar Mosaad , who did not run again. In the final, Jonathan Kemp met Julian Illingworth , whom he defeated 11: 7, 11: 8, 7:11, 7:11 and 11: 6.
The field of participants in the men's competition consisted of 16 players, four of which were reserved for qualifiers. The four best players were seeded. Per Wildcard received Stefan Casteleyn a spot in the main draw.
