Kabange Mupopo

Kabange Mupopo (born September 21, 1992 in Lusaka ) is a Zambian sprinter who has specialized in the 400-meter run .

At first she was active as a soccer player for the Green Buffaloes . With the Zambian national soccer team of women , she was eliminated from the 2014 African Cup of Nations in the preliminary round.

As a track and field athlete , she reached the semi-finals at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow and won silver at the African Athletics Championships in Marrakech . At the Athletics Continental Cup in Marrakech , she was fourth over 400 m and came third with the African team in the 4 x 400 meter relay .

In 2015 she reached the semifinals of the World Athletics Championships in Beijing and won the African Games in Brazzaville with the national record of 50.22 s.

In 2016 she won the gold medal in the 400-meter run at the African Championships in Durban . She also took part in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , where she reached the semi-finals.

At the 2017 World Championships , she tested positive for testosterone . She was banned for four years for doping .
