Kadidiatou Diani (born April 1, 1995 in Ivry-sur-Seine ) is a French football player .

Club career

As a little girl, Kadidiatou Diani played football with her brothers on the street as often as possible; she started with club sport in 2005 at the Entente Sportive de Vitry , from where she went to the Union Sportive d'Ivry two years later . In 2010 she joined the women's football club Juvisy FCF . Back in January 2011, the then 15-year-old played her first first division game when she was substituted on for the last 30 minutes at an away match against FF Yzeure Allier Auvergne . In this season also her international career began as a regular player in the French B-youth-selection (see below) . TheThe striker made 18 appearances and two hits in the top women's division by summer 2014, but was only in the starting line-up in two games. There were also five appearances in the 2012/13 European Cup , with Juvisy's consolation hit in the semi-final second leg against the local rivals from Olympique Lyon with a deliberate lift from the edge of the penalty area . Diani was contractually bound to this club until 2017, although she had to assert herself there in the current season against a number of very aggressive, goal-threatening and experienced teammates ( Gaëtane Thiney , Sandrine Brétigny , Janice Cayman , Camille Catala , Julie Machart , Lilas Traïkia ) .

After a total of seven years at Juvisy, she joined the capital club PSG , where she won the runner-up and the national cup in her first season .

National player

In the youth field, Kadidiatou Diani played a total of 31 internationals with a dozen goals for France's U-17 between September 2010 and October 2012; In the U-19 selection, she scored seven hits in 18 games from March 2013 to April 2014. From August 2014 she competed for the U-20s and scored once in five games.

With these youth selections, Diani has already taken part in several continental tournaments and won two titles. In 2012 she was with the U-17 in the European Championship final, which France lost to Germany on penalties, and together with Pauline Bremer was the top scorer. In the same year she became world champion , to which she contributed four goals, including both goals in the 2-0 semi-final victory against her Ghanaian peers. In 2013 he won the U-19 European Championship and in 2014 he took third place at the U-20 World Championship in Canada . Along with Griedge Mbock Bathy , Sandie Toletti and Claire Lavogez , the attacker is one of the most talented players born in 1994 and 1995, on whom French women's football is paying special attention for the future.

National coach Philippe Bergeroo had called the 19-year-old into his two squads of the French A-women team for the games against Germany , New Zealand and Brazil in October and November 2014 . Kadidiatou Diani came on as a substitute for the last quarter of an hour against the New Zealanders and also scored a goal on her debut. She was also part of the French squad for the 2015 World Cup , in which she was the youngest French woman, as well as the squad for the 2016 Olympic football tournament . Bergeroo's successor Olivier Echouafni appointed her to the French European Championship squad in 2017 , and his successor Corinne Diacre also regularly uses her - mostly on the left attacking side - and also called her to the French 23-man squad for the 2019 World Cup in her own country .
