Claire Marie Annie Lavogez , pronounced ˌLavoˈʒeː (born June 18, 1994 in Calais ), is a French football player .

Club career

Claire Lavogez, who had tried her hand at judo and tennis even before starting school, began at the age of six with the Association Sportive in her home town of Marck with club football; In 2008 she moved to Calais RUFC , where she played in a mixed team with boys and was appointed to the B-girls national selection (see below) , and only twelve months later to the second division US Gravelines, for whose women's league the 15-year-old was in the 2009/10 season played 14 point games, eleven of them in the starting lineup. She also scored five goals. Therefore, the first division club FCF Hénin-Beaumont secured their services before the start of the 2010/11 season ; In the end, the northern French took a place in the middle of the table, and the youngster, who was used as a striker or in the attacking midfield , had immediately earned a regular place in their first womanhood.

Lavogez changed clubs again after just one year and joined HSC Montpellier , one of the four "greats" of French women's football. In the south of France, it was much harder at the beginning and was only used in half of the league matches in the first two seasons. In 2013, it had also prevailed there; since then she has also been a regular in Montpellier. Since the beginning of the 2014/15 season , due to the departure of a number of experienced colleagues such as Hoda Lattaf , Ophélie Meilleroux , Ludivine Diguelman and Élodie Ramos, together with the equally very young Sandie Toletti, she has had considerably more responsibility in the team.

She did not win a national title with the MHSC either. In the first division, a third place (2012) was the best place in the final classification so far, and when Montpellier reached the final in the national cup competition of the same season - and lost to Olympique Lyon - coach Sarah M'Barek did not use the 17-year-old. Three years later she was in the final, in which Lyon again proved to be stronger.

Claire Lavogez, whose contract with the MHSC expired in the summer of 2015, is studying sports science at the University of Montpellier and also plays for their women's team, with which she won the 2013 European University Championship. Her teammates have nicknamed the northern French girl, who is above average in terms of ball and shooting technique, based on Zinédine Zidane, the nickname "Zizounette". She has played for Olympique Lyon since 2015, but only made a brief appearance for them due to an injury in the 2017/18 season . For the second half of this season, the club loaned her to FC Fleury so that she could get match practice again. In her first game for Fleury, she scored a goal at 3: 3 in Bordeaux. From summer 2018 she will play for Girondins Bordeaux .

With these she had also participated in several world and European championships; at the U-17 European Championship 2011 she was vice European champion, at the U-19 European Championship 2013 she won the title and at the U-20 World Cup 2014 she finished third with the French, with four of the 16 French goals and was named the third best player of the tournament - behind her compatriot Griedge Mbock Bathy  .

In October 2014, Philippe Bergeroo , the coach of the senior national team , nominated her for the first difficult preparatory game for the Women's World Cup in Canada away from Germany (final score 2-0 for Les Bleues ) and replaced her after 67 minutes for Élodie Thomis . This was followed by other short appearances before she was in the starting lineup for the first time in her sixth appearance at the Algarve Cup in March 2015 against Denmark and also scored her first goal in the blue dress. She was also part of the squad for the 2015 World Cup . In the quarterfinals of this tournament, she failed with the decisive shot on penalties, for which she had volunteered, to Nadine Angerer . She was also part of the French squad at the 2016 Olympic football tournament and the 2017 European championship squad .
