Marck (NDL .: "Information") is a French municipality with 10,676 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Pas-de-Calais in the region of Hauts-de-France .

geography

The city of Marck is located immediately east of Calais and has an approximately four kilometer long portion of the coast of the Strait of Dover ( Pas de Calais ) in the north .

The districts of Les Hemmes-de-Marck and Fort-Vert belong to Marck .

Transport links

In Marck, the departmental roads D940 and D248 intersect. The A16 Autoroute ( Paris - Dunkerque ) runs through the municipality, as does the A26 Autoroute ( Calais - Troyes ). The airport, which was named after the aviation pioneer Louis Blériot , is located in the middle of the municipality.
