Peuplingues is a French municipality with 777 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Pas-de-Calais in the region of Hauts-de-France (before 2016: Nord-Pas-de-Calais ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Calais , to the canton of Calais-1 (until 2015: canton of Calais-Nord-Ouest ) and to the community association Communauté de communes du Sud-Ouest du Calaisis . The inhabitants are called Peuplinguois .
geography
Peuplingues is about seven kilometers southwest of Calais . The municipality is associated with the Caps et Marais d'Opale Regional Nature Park as an access point .
Peuplingues is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Sangatte in the north, Coquelles in the east and northeast, Fréthun in the east, Bonningues-lès-Calais in the south and Escalles in the west.
In the municipality, the portal of the Eurotunnel is on the French side.
