Nortkerque (NDL .: "Noordkerke") is a French municipality with 1,613 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Pas-de-Calais in the region of Hauts-de-France . It has belonged to the Arrondissement of Calais (previously Saint-Omer ) and the Canton of Marck (until 2015: Canton Audruicq ) since 2017 .
geography
Nortkerque is located about 15 kilometers southeast of Calais on the Canal de Calais . Nortkerque is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Guemps and Offekerque in the north, Nouvelle-Église in the northeast, Audruicq in the east, Zutkerque in the south, Nielles-lès-Ardres in the southwest and Ardres in the west and southwest.
