Campagne-lès-Guines is about 15 kilometers south of Calais . The municipality is part of the Caps et Marais d'Opale Regional Nature Park .
Campagne-lès-Guines is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Guînes in the north and west, Andres in the north and northeast, Balinghem in the northeast, Rodelinghem in the east and Bouquehault in the south.
history
During the Battle of Britain there were two small field airfields of the German Air Force west of the town , which stationed Bf 109E fighters of Jagdgeschwader 54 here . The I./JG 54 was located here between July and September 1940, the staff from August to December 1940 and finally the II./JG 54 from September to November 1940.
