Saint-Omer-Capelle is located about 17 kilometers east-southeast of Calais and about 22 kilometers west-southwest of Dunkirk . Saint-Omer-Capelle is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Oye-Plage in the north, Saint-Folquin in the east, Audruicq in the south and Vieille-Église in the west.

The A16 autoroute runs through the municipality .
