Kaja Brandenburger (* 20th century ) is a German theater educator .

Life

Brandenburger attended the IGS Franzsches Feld in Braunschweig until 1998 . She studied cultural studies at the University of Hildesheim . She graduated with a diploma in 2006. The subject of her diploma thesis is The main character Paul in the opera “Die tote Stadt” by Erich Wolfgang Korngold in the context of contemporary history and reception . Furthermore, in 2006 she received a scholarship from the “ Richard Wagner Association ” and works as an assistant director at the Magdeburg Opera House .

The focus of her work is artistic work with children, adolescents and students, and she also works with well-known directors. In 2008 she initiated and directed the media seminar “Musiktheater im Visier” at the Chair of General Pedagogy at the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg , gave workshops for children in the opera house and in 2009 staged the children's musical Emil and the Detectives based on the template (from 2001 ) by Wolfgang Adenberg with music by Marc Schubring . In the same year she completed her training as a director of the "Institute for Scenic Interpretation of Music + Theater" (ISIM) at the State Opera Unter den Linden in Berlin.

She is the artistic director of the children's theater project of RTL Kinderhäuser within the framework of United Kids Foundations, the children's network of Volksbank BraWo .

Brandenburger is also actively involved in the area of ​​violence prevention, for example in 2011 in a theater project in cooperation with the five RTL children's homes.

Brandenburger directed several musicals performed in the Brunsviga in Braunschweig together with Felix Goltermann (musical director) and the music theater group "now or never" of the IGS Franzsches Feld .
