Kalanchoe robusta is a species of the genus Kalanchoe in the thick-leaf family(Crassulaceae).

description

The perennial , completely bald Kalanchoe robusta reaches heights of growth of up to 50 centimeters. The gray, robust, only sparsely branched shoots are stem-round and have a diameter of 1 to 3 centimeters at the base. The fleshy leaves are pushed towards the tips of the shoots and sit on a 5 to 10 millimeter long petiole . Your obovate, oblong lanceolate to spatulate leaf blade is 3.5 to 9 inches long and 2.5 to 4 inches wide. The leaf blade is pointed at the tip and narrowed at the base. The reddish leaf margin is entire.

The inflorescence is a more or less dense panicle . The horizontally positioned flowers sit on 6 to 12 millimeter long flower stalks . The glaucous- green calyx tube is 1.5 to 1.7 millimeters long and ends in triangular, pointed, sometimes sparsely glandular lobes that are 3 to 5 millimeters long and 2 to 3 millimeters wide. The corolla is bright orange-red. The cylindrical, 12 to 35 millimeters long corolla tube is contracted at the base, slightly curved and zygomorphic. It has egg-shaped, elongated, rounded tips 6 to 10 millimeters long and 3 to 5 millimeters wide with an attached tip. The stamens are attached a little below the center of the corolla tube and all protrude from the corolla tube. The almost circular, blunt or slightly sanded nectar flakes are 1 to 3 millimeters long and 1.5 to 1.8 millimeters wide. Seen from the side, the 6 to 20 millimeter long carpel is ovate-lanceolate. The stylus is between 5 and 12 millimeters long.
