Kaldbaksbotnur
Kaldbaksbotnur [ ˈkalːbaksˌbɔtnʊɹ ] is a place in the Faroe Islands in the southwest of the main island of Streymoy .

Kaldbaksbotnur is located at the end of the Kaldbaksfjørður fjord and administratively belongs to the capital city municipality, but does not belong to the closed settlement area of the agglomeration. Essentially, like Sund at the entrance to the fjord to the east, the place consists of a farm. Since 1980 there has been a road connection that leads from Tórshavn to the neighboring town of Kaldbak at the exit of the fjord. The former Danish naval base Mjørkadalur lies high above Kaldbaksbotnur .
