Kaldbaksbotnur [ ˈkalːbaksˌbɔtnʊɹ ] is a place in the Faroe Islands in the southwest of the main island of Streymoy .

Kaldbaksbotnur is located at the end of the Kaldbaksfjørður fjord and administratively belongs to the capital city municipality, but does not belong to the closed settlement area of ​​the agglomeration. Essentially, like Sund at the entrance to the fjord to the east, the place consists of a farm. Since 1980 there has been a road connection that leads from Tórshavn to the neighboring town of Kaldbak at the exit of the fjord. The former Danish naval base Mjørkadalur lies high above Kaldbaksbotnur .
