The Kali Sindh ( Hindi : काली सिंध ; also Kalisindh ) is a right tributary of the Chambal in northern India .
Kali Sindh originates at Barziri Hill on the northern slope of the Vindhyagebirges near Bagli in District Dewas in Madhya Pradesh . The river flows mainly in a northerly direction. After 180 km it reaches Rajasthan , where it continues another 171 km before flowing into the Chambal. The cities of Sonkatch and Sarangpur lie on the river . The fortress Gagron located on the left bank of the Kali Sindh near the town of Jhalawar . The Kali Sindh has a length of 351 km. Its catchment area covers 24,663 km², of which 7,944 km² are in Rajasthan.
