.45 ( .45 ) is an American film drama by Gary Lennon from the year 2006 .

action

The film is set in the New York borough of Hell's Kitchen in the 1970s. Big Al and his girlfriend Kat work together in the criminal scene and trade in arms and drugs. Big Al is a criminal macho who cheats on Kat with other women and treats them very derogatory. Jealousy escalates for no reason: Big Al beats Kat and rapes her. At the police station, Liz, a domestic violence victim carer, tries to take care of Kat and convince her that she has to leave her boyfriend. But Kat is in an addiction network with Al, who also threatens her with death, should she leave him. The lesbian Vic urges Kat to leave her boyfriend. However, she feels strongly drawn to Kat herself. This also applies to Riley, whom Vic tries to persuade to kill Al and thus solve the problem. In fact, Big As Death appears to be the only way Kat could part with him. Instead, a street hooligan is killed and false evidence is placed depicting Al as the perpetrator. During a visit to the prison, Kat reveals to her ex-boyfriend that she is responsible for his incarceration and that the power relationship between the two has now reversed. But even Liz, who committed the murder disguised as Big Al, is disappointed by the strengthened Kat. If she had imagined a relationship with Kat, Kat will go her own way from now on.
