William M. Anderson

William M. Anderson (born March 12, 1948 in Belfast , Northern Ireland ) is a Northern Irish film editor .

Life

After William M. Anderson independently edited films like Cindy and Donna and The Young Graduates for the director and screenwriter Robert Anderson at the young age of 22, he was responsible for the film editing of Bruce Beresford's works from 1978 to 1985 . In addition to Money Movers and Breaker Morant, he also cut King David . During this time the long-term collaboration with the Australian director Peter Weir began . For this he edited Gallipoli in 1981 and was able to receive nominations for important film awards for the respective film editing of The Truman Show and The Club of Dead Poets . For the latter, he received a BAFTA Award nomination for Best Editing in 1998 .
