The Kaltbrunnental has a small space, a variety of phenomena of karst landscape as disappearing streams ( Bach shrinkage ), springs and caves with associated piping system. Caves with prehistoric sites

The Heidenküche is a 10-minute walk from the Chessiloch into the valley on the right bank of the Ibach, 13 m above the creek bed in the area of the municipality of Himmelried SO. The cave excavated by JB Thiessing in 1883 is one of the first Paleolithic sites to be discovered in Switzerland, along with the Kesslerloch and the cave near Liesberg. It was discovered in 1934 by Heinz Kohler, Grellingen.
