The comb-shaped beach Lilac ( Limonium pectinatum ) is a plant from the genus of the beach Lilac ( Limonium ). The species is very rich in shape and the most common sea lavender species in the Canaries.
features
The comb-shaped sea lavender is a perennial herbaceous plant that reaches heights of 5 to 30 centimeters. The stems are partially prostrate and hardly winged. There are numerous rosettes on branched stems. The leaves are 2 to 5 inches long, spatulate and gray. The calyx is blunt pentagonal and whitish. The flowers are pale purple or white.
The flowering period extends from January to June.
Occurrence
The comb-shaped sea lavender occurs on the Canary Islands El Hierro , La Palma , La Gomera , Tenerife and Gran Canaria on rocky coasts.
