The canton of La Cienega is a municipality in the Department of Potosí in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

The Cantón La Cienega (also: Comunidad Le Cienega ) is one of five cantons in the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) Mojinete in the province of Sur Lípez . It borders in the north-east on the province of Sur Chichas , in the north on the municipality of San Pablo de Lípez , in the north-west on the canton Pueblo Viejo , in the west on the canton Bonete Palca , and in the south and east on the canton Mojinete .

The canton stretches between about 21 ° 46 'and 21 ° 51' south latitude and 66 ° 18 'and 66 ° 23' west longitude, it measures up to eight kilometers from north to south and up to seven kilometers from west to east.
