The canton of Sipe Sipe is a municipality in the department of Cochabamba in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
The Cantón Sipe Sipe is one of three cantons in the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) Sipe Sipe in the province of Quillacollo . The canton is located in the western part of Bolivia, it borders in the northwest with the province Ayopaya , in the west with the province Tapacarí , in the south with the canton Itipaya , in the southeast with the province Capinota , in the east with the Cercado , the municipality Quillacollo and the canton Mallco Rancho , and in the northeast to the Municipio Vinto .
The canton extends between about 17 ° 13 'and 17 ° 30' south latitude and 66 ° 18 'and 66 ° 43' west longitude, it measures up to 25 kilometers from north to south and from west to east. There are 49 municipalities in the canton, the central location is the town of Sipe Sipe in the southeastern part of the canton with 11,826 inhabitants, the mean altitude of the canton is 3400 m .

The canton of Sipe Sipe lies in the transition area between the Andes mountain range of the Cordillera Central and the Bolivian lowlands.
The mean average temperature of the region is around 18 ° C (see climate diagram Cochabamba) and fluctuates only slightly between 14 ° C in June / July and 20 ° C in October / November.
