Kaoutar Farkoussi (born March 19, 1996 ) is a Moroccan athlete who competes in long-distance running .
Athletic career
Kaoutar Farkoussi gained her first international experience at the 2015 World Cross Country Championships in Guiyang , where she finished 35th in the U20 class after 10:12 p.m. In 2017, she finished sixth in the 5000 meter run at the Islamic Solidarity Games in Baku in 15: 55.72 minutes and then finished fifth in the 1500 meter run at the Arab Championships in Radès in 4: 32.29 minutes . At the Francophonie Games in Abidjan , she won the silver medal in 16: 01.53 minutes behind her compatriot Soukaina Atanane . At the African Cross Country Championships 2018 in Ech Cheliff , she won the bronze medal with the mixed relay and then she won the Mediterranean Games in Tarragona in 15: 52.33 minutes over 5000 meters. At the 2019 World Cross Country Championships in Aarhus she won the silver medal behind Ethiopia in the mixed relay and shortly afterwards she won the silver medal behind Winfred Mutile Yavi from Bahrain at the Arab Championships in Cairo in 17: 25.08 min . Also with the Moroccan 4 x 400 meter relay she was able to win the silver medal behind the team from Bahrain in 3: 49.85 minutes. At the end of August she took part in the Africa Games in Rabat for the first time and came ninth there in 15: 57.90 minutes.
In 2018 Farkoussi became the Moroccan champion in the 5000 meter run.
