The Roman Catholic chaplain church Leins is located in the village of Leins in the municipality of Arzl im Pitztal in the Imst district in Tyrol . It is consecrated to the attribute Maria Hilf and belongs as chaplain of the parish Arzl im Pitztal to the Dean's office of Imst in the diocese of Innsbruck . The building is a listed building .

history

Leins was made chaplaincy in 1738. The current church was built in 1750 instead of a chapel. A renovation took place in 1898. This church was enlarged to the south in 1954, the steeple was built and a cemetery was laid out.

Church exterior

The church is a simple baroque building with four window axes in the nave. The church building is south.

Church interior

The building was originally two-bay and had a single- bay, barrel - vaulted choir. The extension from 1954 is barrel vaulted . The ceiling paintings are by Michael Längle from 1896. They depict the “Adoration of the Shepherds” and the “Secrets of the Rosary”. The frescoes on the new choir arch were created in 1954 by Elmar Kopp .

Furnishing

The high altar is a Marian altar. The altar leaf was made by Hans Kapferer in 1862. It is flanked by figures of Saints Joachim and Anna . The figures from the last quarter of the 18th century are attributed to Josef Anton Renn .

organ

The positive organ acquired in 1901 with double doors and a triaxial prospectus with bandwork was probably made by Andreas Jäger in 1734.
